The Cabinet has granted approval for importing 300,000 litres of Liquid Medicinal Oxygen per week, as per a proposal submitted by Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella.
Co-Cabinet Spokesperson Dr. Ramesh Pathirana yesterday (24) said that the Cabinet earlier granted approval to impott 120,000 l of oxgen monthly.
However, as a result of rapid increase of COVID-19 patients depend on oxygen in recent times, the Cabinet approved Rambukwella’s proposal.
These oxgen will be used to maitain the current oxygen reserves in the country.
