Milk powder shortage till February?

The prevailing milk powder shotage could be last until February 2022, because of the forex crisis.

Media Spokesman of Milk Powder Importers Association Ashoka Bandara said that they hope that after resolving foreign currency crisis in the counrty, milk powder shortage too could be solved, in February 2022.

The milk powder Importers yesterday (30) increased prices of milk powder packets.

The news price of 1 kg packet is Rs 1,345 and 400 g packet is Rs 540.

Speaking on the price hike, Trade Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardena said that the government cannot control the milk powder Importers and their decisions.
