Foreign Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris resigned from the post this morning , Presidential Secretariat announced a short while ago.
Accordingly, he has been appointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the same morning.
Meanwhile, State Minister of Rural Roads and Other Infrastructure Nimal Lanza also resigned from the post today.
