Keselwatta Police takes step back, withdraws B report against lawyers

Keselwatte Police has withdrawn the B report it filed with the court regarding a group of lawyers who protested opposite the Hultsdorf Magistrate’s Court.

A B-report was filed before Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court by the Keselwatta Police, against a group of lawyers who organized a protest on 18 January infront of the cpurt complex against conduct of the Attorney General.

However, the IGP later called for a report from the Western Province SDIG regarding the submission of a B report, as Keselwatta Police had not consult him before filing the B report.
