Two arrested for photographing Parliament

Two people who had trespassed into the high-security area of Parliament and video filmed the Parliament complex were arrested by the police.

Police said the two men aged 22 and 31, residents of Jaffna and Cinnamon Garden were arrested on Sunday evening when they trespassed into the high-security area near the Ranaviru Memorial on the Parliament grounds.

They were arrested by the officers of the Parliament Division and handed over to the Talangama Police.

They were remanded till February 7 after being produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court.
