Committee appointed to probe alleged impact of 5G towers in A’pura on Sri Maha Bodhiya

President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed a special committee to probe whether telecommunication towers in Anuradhapura are harming the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya.

The President’s Media Division said the committee was appointed on a special request made by Atamasthanadhipathi Ven. Pallegama Hemarathana Thero to investigate reports claiming that telecommunication towers are harming Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya

The committee is comprised TRC Chairman Prof. Niranjan Gunawardana, Director General of the Department of National Botanic Gardens Dr. S. A. Krishnaraja, Additional Director General TRC H. Ranatunga and Anuradhapura GA Janaka Jayasundara.
