Acting Defense Minister Premitha Bandara Tennakoon today said that the name ‘Sonic Sonic’ that is often speak in connection with Easter Sunday bombings, belongs to an intelligence officer.
‘Sonic Sonic’ is a pseudonym for an intelligence officer who acted as a mole. He providwd valuable information about Zahran Hashim’s ring pretending to be an IS supporter, Tennakoon said.
“The MPs need to have a common sense to understand these operations. This officer sacrificed a lot, pretending to be a terrorist. That is how some intelligence operations are being carries out,” he said.
