Licence issuance suspended in two more provinces

The Provincial Chief Secretaries have announced a temporary suspension of vehicle revenue license issuance in the Eastern and Central Provinces due to an ongoing computer system upgrade. This suspension will be in effect from September 27 to October 02, 2023.

As a result, individuals with vehicle revenue licenses expiring from September 26 can renew them without incurring late penalties until October 10.

Furthermore, the online issuance of vehicle revenue licenses through the Department of Motor Traffic’s official website at www.motortraffic.wp.gov.lk will also be temporarily unavailable from midnight on September 24 until October 06, 2023.
