This morning, a tragic accident unfolded as a tree fell onto a bus en route from Colombo to Mathugama, resulting in the loss of at least five lives and injuries to four others, according to the police.
The victims who tragically lost their lives have been identified as all males, as confirmed by hospital sources. Presently, the four injured passengers are undergoing treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.
This devastating incident took place approximately 100 meters from the Liberty Roundabout on Duplication Road.
