Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited has announced measures to streamline vehicle parking outside the arrival terminal at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake.

As part of the new regulations, vehicles without a driver will no longer be permitted to park in this area. Additionally, vehicles arriving to pick up passengers must wait in the car park and can only approach the terminal at the scheduled pickup time.

The company has also stated that vehicles parked for more than 30 minutes, even with a driver present, will incur an extra fee if they cause traffic congestion.

These measures aim to control the influx of unauthorised vehicles and individuals at the airport premises, ensuring smoother operations and enhanced security.
