Two leading gas companies, Laugfs Gas PLC and Litro Gas Lanka, have unveiled substantial price reductions on their domestic LP gas cylinders effective from midnight today (4).
Laugfs Gas PLC has announced a reduction in prices for its LP gas cylinders, with the revised rates as follows:
- 12.5 kg cylinder: Reduced by Rs. 160, now priced at Rs. 3,680.
- 5 kg cylinder: Reduced by Rs. 65, now priced at Rs. 1,477.
This announcement closely follows a similar move by Litro Gas Lanka, which earlier today disclosed its revised prices, also effective from midnight. The new rates from Litro Gas Lanka are:
- 12.5 kg cylinder: Reduced by Rs. 150, now priced at Rs. 3,790.
- 5 kg cylinder: Reduced by Rs. 60, now priced at Rs. 1,522.
- 2.3 kg cylinder: Reduced by Rs. 28, now priced at Rs. 712.
