Extreme Weather: Over 250,000 Affected, 30 Dead

Some 253,581 persons from 66,906 families across thirteen districts have been affected by adverse weather conditions, according to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC).

People in Ratnapura, Colombo, Kegalle, Kandy, Galle, Kalutara, Matara, Puttalam, Kurunegala, Hambantota, Nuwara Eliya, Kilinochchi, and Gampaha have been impacted.

Additionally, 4,303 houses have been partially damaged and 42 houses completely destroyed. The death toll from the inclement weather stands at 30 as of today (05).
