The Locomotive Operating Engineers Union has announced plans to initiate a train strike at midnight tomorrow.
This decision comes amidst ongoing delays in the second-class promotions of locomotive drivers, persistent recruitment delays due to a lack of a salary code and various other concerns.
According to the union secretary, despite multiple notifications to the Railways General Manager (GMR), the issues remain unresolved. Consequently, in the absence of a favourable response, the union has opted to commence trade union action from midnight tomorrow.
