The Constitutional Council has unanimously approved the appointment of Attorney General Parinda Ranasinghe.
Senior Additional Solicitor General Parinda Ranasinghe Jr. took the oath as Acting Attorney General before the Chief Justice on July 1.
He was nominated for the position after the CC declined to extend the tenure of former Attorney General Sanjay Rajarathnam.
