In a historic move, Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus was sworn in as the head of Bangladesh’s interim government, marking a new chapter in the nation’s political landscape.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India extended his best wishes to Yunus, acknowledging his leadership at this critical juncture.

Adding to the significance of this development, two student leaders who played pivotal roles in the recent protests have been appointed as members of the interim government.

This is the first time in Bangladesh’s history that students will directly participate in governing the country.
