Former MP Basil Rajapaksa left for Dubai early this morning, just one day before the Presidential Election 2024.
He boarded Emirates flight EK 649 at 2:55 a.m. and is expected to continue to the U.S.
His departure route included the Gold Route at Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake, with fellow MPs D.V. Chanaka, Sanjeewa Edirimanne, and Jayantha Ketagoda accompanying him to the airport.
