UNP Decides to Collaborate with Opposition Parties in New Alliance

The United National Party (UNP) has announced its decision to form a collaborative alliance with all opposition parties. This decision was made today (23) during a leadership council meeting at former President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s political office in Colombo.

Former President Wickremesinghe proposed the alliance and instructed party officials to invite all opposition parties, including the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), to join forces for future elections and political challenges, according to a statement from his office.
